RAMA ENTERS DANDAKA

Accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana,Rama entered the Dandaka Forest. There were several hermitages. Their front yards were decorated with rangoli. Clothes made of tree bark were drying in the sun. Kusa grass and other materials used in homas were stalked. Deer and other wild animals were roaming freely. The hermitages reverberated with the singing of Vedas. It was like heaven with the smoke and aroma emitted by the homa fires.
