THE EPISODE OF AJAMILA

 

In the city of Kanyakubja, once there lived a Brahmin named Ajamila.  He married a low-caste woman and had ten sons from her.  He became a slave of all bad habits and led a sensual life.  He loved his youngest son very much.  He named him Narayana.  As he was very fond of him, he used to call him by his name Narayana several times a day and play with him.
