JAYA AND VIJAYA GET CURSED BY SAINT SANAKA AND HIS BROTHERS

 

Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanathkumara and Sanath sujatha who were the sons of Brahma were born saints.  As young ascetics of four or five years of age, they went to Vaikuntha to visit Lord Vishnu.  How ever they were stopped at the gates by Jaya and Vijaya who were guards there.  The great saints got offended and cursed them to be born as demons.  When Jaya and Vijaya who realized their mistake, prayed them, the saints told them that they will return to Vaikuntha after being born as demons thrice.
