GAJENDRA IN DISTRESS – PRAYS LORD SRI HARI

In the great ocean of milk there was a big island and on it the great mountain Trikuta existed. It was surrounded by thick and vast forest. Several species of wild animals lived there happily. One day a great herd of elephants started in search of big ponds. A King elephant along with some other female elephants had gone astray and after a while became very thirsty. After some search he found a big pond. After quenching his thirst he went into the pond along with other elephants and started playing with them unaware of the presence of large number of crocodiles in the pond. A big crocodile caught hold of the leg of of the king elephant and started pulling him deep into the water. The king elephant tried very hard to pull himself out of the clutches of the crocodile but he failed. His entire energy was sapped and he got exhausted. He realized that only Lord Sri Hari can save him and started praying him earnestly.
