NARADA NARRATES THE THREE BIRTHS OF JAYA AND VIJAYA WHEN THEY

WERE BORN AS DEMONS TO DHARMARAJA

 

Narada told Dharmaraja “O King! Jaya and Vijaya, the cursed gods of Vaikuntha, took birth as Demons thrice before they could return to Vaikuntha.  In their first birth, they were born as the sons of Dithi and were known Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakasipa.  They got killed by Lord Vishnu in his incarnations as the great Varaha and Narasimha respectively.  In their second birth they were born as Ravana and Kumbhakarna.  Both these brothers were killed by Sri Hari in his incarnation as Sree Rama.  In their third and last birth as Demons they were born as Sisupala and Danthavakthra.  They were killed by Lord Sri Krishna.
